Professional Training to Ministry of ICT and Innovation Staff on Policy Analysis and Formulation with a focus on Research and Data Analysis
EPRN Rwanda has collaborated with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through the JICA ICT Innovation Ecosystem Strengthening Project to provide professional training to staff of the Ministry of ICT and Innovation (MINICT).
This training has focused on developing skills in Public Policy formulation (including both theory and practice) ; developing effective research methodologies focusing on the use and application of applied research techniques ; utilizing data management statistical packages including Microsoft Excel, STATA, and SPSS ; and provide post-training support to staff through on-the-job mentorship.
This training workshop incorporated a high degree of participant engagement. Adult learning methodologies were employed and debates and discussions were encouraged. The trainer used a mix of presentations to define and explain key concepts, and practical exercises to apply acquired skills and knowledge on ICT-related projects and policies.
