Female Working group in 2021 on Socio-economic transformation
EPRN jointly with FES Rwanda have started a Female Working group in 2021 on Socio-economic transformation to empower Rwandan women in their role in the socio-economic transformation. Throughout this forum, EPRN jointly with FES Rwanda organizes several online and physical workshops and discussion sessions around the overall topic “Socio-Economic Transformation”.
Topic of September 2022 session was : Women in peace and security ; and the presenter was Fatima Askira from Nigeria. Mrs Fatima is a Founder and Executive Director of Borno Women Development Initiative, an organization that aims to empower women and youth to play a constructive role in promoting peace and tolerance.
Through the Female Working Group Program, EPRN and FES jointly train a pool of about 20 female experts for 9 months period every year since 2020.
